Park City

Park City is an attractive resort town in the Wasatch Mountains, located just 32 miles east of Salt Lake City. Once a center for silver mining, Park City transformed itself in the mid-twentieth century to a skiing mecca and tourist hot spot. These days Park City draws in millions of visitors each year.

Three excellent ski resorts are just minutes from downtown: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Canyons Resort.

In the summer, Park City remains a very popular destination. The mountains are even more beautiful once the snow melts, and visitors can ride the tram up and descend on foot, mountain bike or alpine slide.

Year round cultural events, such as Artstravaganza in August and the renowned Sundance Film Festival in January, bring a wide selection of international travelers to Park City, creating a cosmopolitan vibe not often found in this part of the country. Comfortable temperatures invite visitors to explore the scenic outdoors, play golf, fish or look for wildlife.
